It was a good holiday, but I actually wanted to ask a question. Has anyone else had trouble getting in the Ministry? I tried to just Floo in and they wouldn't allow it for some reason. It's really strange. I owled a friend of Gran and they said we must make an appointment first. They also rambled on about how rude it was to just drop in and who did I think I was, Harry Potter? Merlin, Gran's friends are opinionated and that's putting it nicely. She has a lot of them though and there's always someone who knows something who knows Gran. I've made an appointment now, but I'm just curious if anyone's dealt with this.

So, is everyone feeling any better? I'm uh, fine. Yeah, fine. Just a little. Fine. I mean fine. I should probably owl Gran about this all. She likes knowing what's going on. She worries.
Is there anyone that runs their study groups at night? I'm looking for a group or partner that works better at night. I've been not sleeping having trouble sleeping at night and thought I'd make the best out of the situation. Anyone would do, studying doesn't need to be chatty.

The town's alright. It's not Hogsmeade by any means, but it's got it's own quirks. The people seem okay. Most things taste the same wherever you buy them I always thought. It should be good for the weekend the students go visit it, but really you all aren't missing anything not going during the week. You might not be able to see any of us older sorts working since we'll have classes during those times. Speaking of class, I dozed off for a couple of minutes in Charms. Anyone mind if I check my notes to theirs?

This place is okay. The weekend classes are something completely different from what I'm used to. You know, I never realised how much information you could be given in that amount of time, but Merlin, I hope it sticks better than it feels like it is. Herbology is easy as it's always been. I haven't had a problem there for a couple of years and Professor Sprout is a real fine teacher. We've still got some good ones and I like the new ones too. I never would have thought of one of Ron and Ginny's brother's teaching before! Not to say anything bad about the Weasleys, but honestly if one of them taught I would have thought it be Percy. I didn't really know him or the older bloke well, just know stories and Percy from when he was Prefect and Head Boy. I wonder if Harry anyone of our year might be a teacher one day. I think I might like it, but you can't teach something until you've experienced the world, right?

Gran keeps after me to cut my hair. I might before going back. I will before going out into the world, I know that. It's busy at the Longbottom house, but I don't really want to talk to many of them. Why didn't they come to the fight? Gran knew. I know they knew. Uncle Algie said something about a nasty scar I picked up and I told him off. He was surprised. Don't want to eat much. I'm just tired a lot these days. Gran lets me be except the hair. I'm not sure if that's good. I've had trouble sleeping through the nights. Fucking awful nightmares. I just keep seeing- I think I need these NEWTS. Anything to get me out of this funk.

I'm fine. Gran's fine. She got out of St. Mungo's pretty fast. She's been so energetic since they released her. I can't even keep up. Surprised she hasn't taken a scissors to my head yet. I'm glad things are better- I want to say something, but I can't. I can't even get my thoughts straight. Everyone just- The Weasley's were- You were all brilliant. Every bloody one of you that stayed or came. I just- Merlin, no, that's it. Sorry. I'm sure someone else is going to be better at this.

A bunch of you are asleep, but I wanted to tell you and not wake you because we're all tired. I was talking with that painting and her name's Ariana and she said all these grand things about Hogsmeade so I asked her how she knew and she said to follow her and there's a hole in the painting! It leads to the Hog's Head! Aberforth is there, he says we can't leave because there's dementors outside there now too, but he can get us food. Well you all can. I'm not eating until everyone else does and well. Brilliant right? Great, yeah?

I guess this is a report of sorts. You all need to know what's going on so you know why things are how there are. Merlin, sounds like we killed someone. We're hiding. A lot of us. There was a party that got busted. I know before you even say it, bloody bad idea, right? It wasn't mine, but I supported it, helped it along and it was grand while it was happening. I don't remember all the details, but a lot of people got out and we helped who we could. Lots of trouble, but we're mostly alright it seems like.
We're in hiding. Colin, me, a bunch of us. We're hiding in the school. It all seems alright so far. We're trying to figure out how to get the wands back. The Room of Requirements takes care of the rest for us. The school's gone mad. They starved the halfbloods. They've got bloody dementors on the grounds. People keep getting beaten. Can you believe all of this? I know I bloody can't.
The important part is that we're fine.

It's nice having everyone back! The break wasn't so awful. For McGonagall wanting people to stay, I sure wish she'd have arranged things that weren't aimed at First years. I think even they thought the Easter egg hunt was a bore. I saw some kids hiding eggs in some bad places, so a word to the wise: don't investigate too many suits of armor. If you smell something rank, keep going!

I was punished for dancing with a friend of mine. This isn't shocking, we've all heard I'm sure. No, I'm not queer. It was a statement. That isn't the point! The point here is my punishment. Can you believe it? They had me live as a Halfblood for a week? It's an insult to us all that they can use this as a punishment! I survived it well enough, if not scarred a bit. That's scarred, not scared. Give me the abuse and back off of the people that don't deserve it. I'll take in it stride.

I can't rightly remember the last time I've wanted to pop someone in the nose this much. Before September, that is. Well Malfoy was usually a pain and the rest of that lot was never much better. Alright, alright, so I do remember, but I've never had the thought to honestly do it. It was all just in my head before. This wasn't my point! I'm just so angry, it got me off topic. I have been taking Muggle Studies since I was able and I have never heard anything this stupid! Muggles are not diseased! Not any more than wizards! It's a complete loan of bullocks. Just because they can't use magic doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them. Those Carrows are the diseased ones!
